FAQ's - What to know when boarding your pets
We know leaving your pet in someone else’s care can come with questions—so we’re here to help! Below are answers to some of the most common things pet parents ask before and after boarding. From what to pack to how we keep your pets happy and safe, here’s everything you need to know to feel confident about their stay at Luna Pet Resort.
Common behavior after boarding a pet
It’s totally normal for pets to act a little differently after their boarding experience—especially if it was their first time away from home! Here are a few things you might notice:
Extra Sleepiness:
-
Boarding can be exciting and full of stimulation, especially with lots of playtime. It’s common for pets to come home and sleep more than usual for a day or two while they catch up on rest.
Increased Appetite or Thirst:
-
Some pets may eat or drink more when they get home. It’s not usually a sign of anything wrong—just them settling back into their normal routine.
Clinginess or Extra Affection:
-
Pets may be more attached or “velcro-like” after being away. They’re just happy to be back with you!
Mild Digestive Upset:
-
A slight change in routine, water, or excitement levels can occasionally lead to softer stools or temporary digestive changes.
Disorientation or Quietness:
-
Especially for first-timers, pets might seem a little “off” for a day or two as they adjust back to home life.
These behaviors are typically short-lived. If anything seems severe or doesn’t improve after a couple of days, feel free to reach out to us or your vet—we’re always here to support you and your pet!
